eAccreditation is the CAATE’s electronic accreditation documentation system. eAccreditation has allowed the CAATE to be more efficient while directing, managing, and navigating the accreditation process.

It is a one-stop shop for program administrators to track program data, and officials, student cohorts, BOC pass rate and other outcomes data, as well as providing the process by which they can complete the Annual Report and Self-Study.

A student’s BOC ID will not be available to match until the following steps are completed:

  • Step 1: PD will receive an email to confirm the eligibility of your student for the BOC exam
  • Step 2: PD must login to BOC Central to confirm eligibility
  • Step 3: PD must approve AT101 Exam Application

*Once all 3 steps are complete the student file will be added to the que for the next BOC to CAATE data transfer. The CAATE only receives student BOC IDs and scores 5 times a year (2-4 weeks following an exam cycle).

Program Data and Outcomes 

The CAATE is implementing reporting changes that will impact how student achievement and performance data (programmatic outcomes) must be shared with the public. The reporting changes will allow the public to compare performance and student achievement between programs in an identical format, enhancing transparency and public understanding of achievements.

To help you report your program’s student achievements and outcomes properly, the CAATE created a Program Data and Outcomes page for each program that includes a comprehensive, uniform data set that will be auto-populated via our accreditation software, eAccreditation. The data set will include performance and student achievement data as well as a program’s accreditation history.

Each program can access their Program Data and Outcomes landing page on their program’s ‘profile’ tab within eAccreditation. Reference the CAATE instructional video and FAQ for more details. 

Annual Report

All accredited Professional  and Post-Professional Degree Programs must submit their Annual Report by October 1 each year through e-Accred including programs who are completing self-studies or have site visits this year.     Programs may update the student, faculty, preceptor, and clinical site profiles at any time. Instructions for completing this process are available here.

Progress Report

If you have been notified that your program is required to complete a Progress Report from the Annual Report Review, the instructions for submission of the Progress Report may be found below.  If you are instructed to complete and upload certain tables into e-Accred, those tables are below as well.  Please complete and upload only those tables which you have been instructed.

Site Visit Materials

Upon review of the self-study, the Site Visit Chair may re-open a standard(s) to allow the Program Director to submit new/revised materials.   The standards that are not re-opened by the Site Visit Chair are not editable.   All re-opened standards must be marked complete prior to the Program Director re-submitting the self-study to the Site Visit Team.    The Site Visit Chair will work with the Program Director to determine which documents will be uploaded and which documents for the site visit will be reviewed on-site.

Substantive Change

Substantive Change includes any major change in the program. In order to maintain accreditation, the Program Director must inform CAATE of any substantive change such as the appointment of a new Program Director, a change in the Program format, etc. The documents required for each change are listed below in the appropriate category and can be uploaded to e-Accreditation

Assessment module:   This module is provided as a benefit to programs and is never seen by the CAATE.  It allows the program to do an ‘interim’ review of all of the standards.  The Assessment module is very similar to the self-study module but does not get submitted to CAATE.  Please note that information added in the Assessment module DOES NOT at this time transfer to the Self-Study Module.  This module IS NOT REQUIRED for Annual Reports.

Benchmarking:   The benchmarking module was developed for programs to compare program data collected on the Annual Report. For all non-confidential fields, at least one program must be selected for comparison. For all confidential fields, a minimum of 5 programs must be selected for comparison.      Benchmarking

Curriculum map:  This module is provided as a benefit to the programs to track where and how the competencies are taught and evaluated.  It allows the program to enter all of the AT courses and map competencies to specific courses.  It also allows the program to map competencies to instructional method(s) and evaluation method(s) across courses.   This module IS NOT REQUIRED for Annual Reports.     Curriculum Tab Instructions

File Cabinet: a convenient place to store program documents, this module works just like a file cabinet providing the ability to create folders and subfolders and then upload documents to those folders.   The files in the file cabinet may be uploaded to the self-study.  Word of caution…..  the site visit team and self-study reviewers DO NOT have access to the file cabinet, so any documents they need to see must be uploaded to the appropriate standard(s).     File Cabinet Instructions
